1. As an artist, if you design your own or find an ideal backdrop, then compose the framework, come up with a pose and mood, set the camera settings etc but then someone else physically clicks the shutter lens, then who is to be credited as the photographer? Even further, what if you then edit and enhance the photo either digitally or using traditional methods, or to even crop or trim the photo etc to create a unique look, who is to be credited for the artwork?
2. The same goes for editing another photo (not a portrait) and digitally enhancing that image to create a piece of work that would otherwise be flat with out the additional editing. Who is to be credited as the artist?
In music recording you have a composer and musicians. And then there is the producer that takes the composition and makes it sound magical. In circumstance a song or piece of music has no potential until it is in the hands of the music producer. However, unlike photography a music composition identifies all parties involved and they are rewarded with recognition.
I just wanted to highlight a couple of thoughts as technology is changing art as we know it and it now involves various levels of production, and also in circumstances multiple artists.
